Listening to the detailled weather analysis on Radio 4 before lunch they were talking about rain falling across the North of England and parts of Scotland washing away the salt and grit laid-down before rapidly freezing this evening. Thoughts are the freeze could coincide with rush hour so be jolly careful out there peeps :y

'The North'..............all points above Watford! ;D
I love those signs at the bottom of the M1......"The North" `so very Southern! ;D
-
I saw your post about a little whiteness down here earlier - I was disappointed to find it all gone when I went out at lunchtime ;D Still cold, mind, just about froze my fingers off unbolting the ID tag from the gearbox in the garage!
Went out for a little drive on the winter tyres - they actually seem to handle better than the Neuton summer tyres (and it's dry, just cold).. I guess you do get what you pay for ;D
-
Yes just a little dusting it seems however for some reason when I got to my car this morning it was the only one with no ice on it :y
I resisted the temptation to get the summer tyres on the white stuff and do a few donuts ;D

The best one is coming down the M1 from Catterick/York area and you see 'The South' and 'Sheffield' underneath ;D

I can vouch for it being slippy. I found myself wishing my pushbike had ABS... ;)

Nah, with the bike I bounce off the street furniture, with the sledge I'll hit it and end up with bits of sledge sticking out of my eye :y
