Thanks Albs. I saw that one. Waiting to hear back on age of them.
Also found a guy selling non OEM's for £65 each. Might just get one of those - at least I know it's new.

Shop around for new imo. Local factors do em £71 a side, incl vat. Not worth messing with used unless the history is very well known ime.

Thanks to EBay (£65 - non OEM) and Omegod, now have a new coil pack on 2-4-6. Car now running sweetly again.
Just a couple of points: Is there any way of stopping the water collecting on that bit of sponge under the scuttle 'cos that's obviously where the damage to the coil pack has started.
Secondly, very disappointed in a garage I thought I could trust. Due to the hassle removing the cable tray above the coil pack, it appears that didn't bother to change the plugs on the even bank. They'll be getting a revisit.

Very common sadly.

Check the wind screen seal is seated firmly. Bit of mastic on the scuttle join, over the pollen filter compartment divider.

If buying pattern, buy Bosch. About 5 or 6 quid more expensive.
