The stats are £46 + VAT from stealers, might be less on TC, but can anyone recommend good cheaper after market ones? Also, is it recommended to replace the housing as well, as per V6's?
TIA

Have had good results with Quinton Hazell in the past for TDs Chris.
However, only the genuine (and expensive) Vx 'stats have performed perfectly, and this has been confirmed with a 'live' Tech2 session at Newent.
Initially, I was a little concerned that the genuine article raised the 'normal' engine temp to hover around the 95/96 mark after fitting in our TD. Even on a hot day with the caravan behind, (actually bound for Newent via the Cotswolds!), it only raised by a degree on some of the long inclines - so am quite happy!
Fuel consumption has also improved, and she returned around 27mpg (as opposed to around 23mpg previously) whilst towing.
No need to change the housing either!

Thanks a lot Byron, I'll bite the bullet then, and call it my Xmas present to myself. My contact at VX always gives me me better than TC price anyway.
Cheers
PS What's all this c&*@p about JB anyway? Don't tell me admins are playing silly bu&*ers again.

I used Q&H in my tractor, around £15.

I found one on ebay, genuine GM & it was only a fiver! Bought from choice-car-parts ( 8650) - Just had a look, none on there now, but some advertised on ebay from other sellers for about £14.
