Hi everyone, just surprised that no one has mentioned that this was on C4 last night,love or them, they know how to party.
The wedding bill must be HUGE,The dresses put Strictly to shame,and theres such a lot of Flesh on display,even in the middle of December .

we watched this last night...in amazment!!! one bride had over a mile of material to make her dress apparantly, then sat on the floor of the limo with the dress around her ears on the way to the church because it was so rather huge!!
dont agree with the little kids running aroung wearing these "outfits",but thats another issue.
what i did wonder though is these two dress makers that were there, over the christmas period, must have been charging a fortune!

Oooh... gypsy wedding hereabout also is most expensive issue ever, has to be known that gypsies usually don't have normal job, mostly no pay of any kind of tax, get their incomes from "black economy"...a reporter asked one of them about his salary at a similar wedding time and the answer was shruging only.

What makes me smile is that they insist on being called travellers,but they all have brick and mortar homes in this pretty village in Southen Ireland.

Half the country could afford an expensive wedding if they didn't pay income tax,council tax, vat and bills like the rest of us.

I could still think of better things to spend all my unpaid tax protection money hard earned on than a big tacky wedding, though, if I were them ;D
Or any wedding, for that matter!

To be fair they only seem to spend money on 2 things with the wedding, the dress and sometimes the carrige, the rest seems pretty low rent lol
A mate says £20k + for a dress isnt uncommon! :o

Yes, try as I might to maintain a balanced opinion – and given that I've dealt with most flavours of humanity over the years – I still have difficulty, sadly, in finding many redeeming features in that particular group.

:o Who in hell would want to wear/carry a dress on their biggest and longest day weighing an enormous 8 stone? Looking at the sheer cost of what these do's it must cost them loads so its no wonder the travelling community attempt, in the majority of their 'services', to rip off the unwary and vulnerable. Trading Standards vaults must be full of the records of those transactions.
I always did ponder why they travel and now I realise that it might just be to evade the consequences of their actions.
Maybe not all are like that but I would bet the majority would shed no tears if they had made easy money from any non traveller. ;)
