Can a mod move this thread pretty please? :-*
Dear all,
I'm an OOF newbie, but a long time Vauxhall fan, and I'm after an Omega 2.5TD Estate with automatic transmission.
Needs to be that engine and combo, no 2.2dti's please!
Cash waiting for the right car, would like to buy something within the next 4 months ideally.
Cheers in advance,
Claire

thanks for moving this for me! :)

To be honest Claire, they are not actually that rare. There are usually 2 or 3 2.5TD Auto estates knocking around on ebay, and most people (particularly within OOF) prefer the manual gearbox version.
You have given yourself plenty of time to fine one, so my advice would be to hold out until you find the one that ticks all your boxes.
It's worth baring in mind that you can get the 2.5 TD lump in facelift Omegas (up to MY 2000 IIRC), and in elite spec as well.
Good luck in your search. :y

a mate of mine 'oop norf' has put me in touch with a Polar Sea Blue Elite TD Auto which is £600 ono.
Apparantly it needs a wheel bearing and the fuel gauge is a bit dodgy, but we're used to fixing cars, so hopefully this wont be a difficult fix - but we wait to stand corrected!!
We can get a flight to Edinburgh from East Midlands with BMI Baby for less then £20 too! bargain! lol

May have a Facelift 2.5 TD Manual Estate coming in over Xmas, Not an Elite so no real toys.
Personally speaking having owned both auto and Manual on the 2.5TD;s my choice would be manual every time.
Chris,

unfortunately due to arthritis in my shoulders, I have to have an automatic now :(
This is the one I've been told about - I've emailed the seller for more info, but would appreciate your thoughts and advice :)

Can a moderator close this thread please?
I've decided to go for an LPG one now rather then an oil burner.
Cheers,
Claire
