Title: what soup.
Post by: Richie London on 15 December 2011, 17:32:35
Just tried this winter vegetable soup from heinz and it was like pi$$ wAter with frozen veg in it. I've not tried many but i do like the tins of Irish stew. but my favourite has to be a tin of vegetable and a tin of tomato together with a loaf of bread. i do love covent garden soup kitchens as well. :)

Any recommendations???

Will do Rich! ;)
For this evening though, Mrs Seth's in work and has left me one of her home-made shepherd's pies in da oven, bless her!
Proper mashed spuds on the top, and nicely browned-off too. Perfect when washed down with a bottle (or two!) of Newcastle Brown! :y

heinz posher range,   the tall tins of world and gourmet varieties.....  the chilli bean one, and the lamb/couscous jobbie, are both excellent winter warmers....  (and sadly off my menu since i no longer eat red meat....  )

home made leek and potato is always worth the effort.... especially with some stilton or extra mature cheddar thrown in....

As I now have to make my own soups I find it tastes a lot better when it's homemade.  Large batches, separated and frozen  :y

Likewise make my own soups, as they taste a lot better and are low in salt.
