Title: Christopher Hitchens dead

His style wasn't to all tastes but his quality of debate (for me at least) was arresting in its cogency, tenacious in its quest to establish and maintain its point and refreshing in its quality use of our fine language.

Would there have been more such able commentators at large in order to cut through the miasma of seemingly endless tripe being generated by the MSM at the moment, (main stream media).

A sad loss indeed – although I wouldn’t wish him to rest in peace because it’s the last thing he would want to do. ;D

Imo he spouted the biggest load of psuedo intellectual shite imaginable,but sad to hear of his demise so young. :(

 Hitchens disagreed with almost everyone on the panel and in the audience of Question Time. He was opposed to everything but never offered an alternative. He was clever with words and good with the put downs, but what was he in favour of?

I think you are mistaking him with his brother. Peter was the one who appeared on question time. ;)
A slightly strange bloke,but on certain subjects he talks a lot of sense imo. He is rarely allowed to get his point across proper ly on question time as he isnt left wing. ;)

His brother isnt a psudeo intellectual,he just wants the world to return to circa 1950, and stay there forevermore. ;)
He has in many respects though,a very sharp intellect indeed.
