Hi people, I've noticed that my passenger side xenon is a different colour? It's gone a dullish purple/orange if that makes sense?
I've replaced the side lights recently and that was quite straight forward but the main bulb seems a tad harder to access. My old vectra's were easy to access but this doesnt look as easy, Is it behind this large black box

Tried searching but all I get is people's problems with builds rather than how too replace them, any help appreciated, cheers

Indeed it is, as it is extremely high voltage HID system.
You need to remove the airbox or battery (or headlight itself) depending on side.
torx to get in, then a funny clip, and lamp comes out.
I'd replace the pair, and I'd avoid the chinese ebay crap, and get a pair of phillips or osram D2S lamps, at 4300k or 5000k (6000k at a push, but no higher)

The beam adjuster mechanism has a plastic component that gets brittle with age. Try not to apply any force to the reflector when you are removing and refitting the lamp or you may be in need of this guide Replace Your Headlight Adjusters (http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=90638.0)
I have taken to removing the whole headlight when a bulb needs replacing because it is less painful, doesn't seem to take any longer and reduces the risk of straining an adjuster.

So I can just remove the four little tiny torx screws holding that black block on the access the bulb? Airbox is already removed as its fitted with a mahoosive carbon cone :o and I now the battery side was a right tight squeeze just to get the sidelight in.

First time I tried to change a bulb on my facelift I had to do it in situ because I didn't find the golden rivet.....

Cheers mate, very useful info there, is it just as quick then as I hate taking things apart when there's no need.

probally quicker and safer as you can see what you are doing and alot less chance of breaking anything :y

As a past master at this, don't ask....take the entire light out of the car.

Having the misfortune of doing this task a fews times as duggs says removal of the entire light unit is the simplest way and steer clear of cheap fleabay ones after 12 months you will be laying out again good luck :y

This, every time. If you can dismantle something that's made to be dismantled, it's a lot better than having to fix something that isn't made to be broken ;)
