My heart has just gone out to my next door neighbour, for months now he has been looking forward to being a grandad and his daughter being a new mum, his daughter had the baby last wednesday, he was telling me it was a perfect birth but the baby died on the thursday with lung failure, the poor man broke his heart when he was telling me.
My thoughts go out to his daughter and the family. isnt it a cruel, cruel world sometimes.
:( :(

Oh my....!
That is so sad Miggy.
So many unwanted children in the world and on the other hand there are little-ones so dearly wished-for.....`a life of only days seems so cruelly-short.
...Prayers of support and comfort being said here, for the bereaved parents and your neighbour. :'(

My partner and I lost a baby in December 06. Neither sadness nor despair covers the feelings we went or are still going through. Please pass on my sympathy, mine and Tan's thoughts are with him and his Daughter and family.

My Nanna and Grandad's first daughter died after a day, as my Nanna had a rare blood type that fought with my Grandad's, them days they didn't have the medication we have now..
60 odd years on she still gets upset when she talks about her :'(
It is a terrible thing to try and bear, my heart goes out to them..

As a proud grandad for the last 7 months I cannot imagine what they are going through. Yet people like Ian Huntley ( Soham ) live, if there is a god he has his priorities all wrong.

My youngest brother lost his son in 2002,he was 2 years old,had a heart problem. He had an operation where another heart was placed at the side of his own plan being that his would hopefully gain strength,he left hospital after a 2 week stay then had to go back every wednesday for check ups,an ambulance would come to his house collect him then bring him back after. After his third visit my brother got a telephone call on the tuesday to say they were pleased with his sons recovery and no need to see him the following day, sadly he passed away the thursday :(...it's an horrible feeling when kids are taken,my heart too goes out to your neighbours..

nothin prepairs you for loosin a loved one. what makes matters worse is when its so sudden and so young.
i am sorry for there loss and hope they can get back to some normality soon.
The pain will stop but you never forget.
-
Really sorry to hear that. No words can describe the pain they must be going through :'(

Unfortunately its a sad part of life for some people. One of those things that never happen to you so you think. I too have been in a similar situation when i lost my two year old son to meningitis, although that was 15 years ago now it still hurts so please pass on my regards to your neighbours as i suspect everyone on this site would wish to do so too :(

There is nothing I can add to what has been said so far :( My heart goes out to the family, and to any other family in similar circumstances.
It must be awful for those who have to suffer such a loss, and to live with that loss thereafter.
I just give thanks that I was never in that situation.
