Title: Any Mondeo Knowledge (ICV)
Post by: zirk on 23 December 2011, 13:02:07
Currently got my head under my mates Mondeo 2003 2.0, symptoms were runs fine but continues to rev to 3k for about 4 secs when coming to a stand still.

Just had the ICV off and gave it a good clean but still the same, His local garage have told Him needs a new clutch pedal switch???, cant see that myself, anything else I can be looking at?

Chris.

Did you give the ISCV a clean with a decent degreaser? Have you checked the plug to the ISCV, it should have a permanent 12V feed and the ECU then switches the groung open or closed as required. Could try battery off for a while to clear the ECU KAM. Could be additional air intake through a split vaccum pipe - worth checking all pipes. Hope this helps fella.

Yep cleaned well, soaked in petrol first, then a lot of carb cleaner squirts till the black colour went almost clear, only seams to do when at full temp, fine at start up and whilst warming up.

Had a quick poke around for intake leaks, nothing obvious. will check voltage next time I see the Car.

Thanks Chris.  :y

Thinking out loud now, only does it when at full temp, EGR valve maybe?

Edit, or MAF?
