Daughter has had a 2002 MG TF from new with a Kenwood KRC591 radio. I have had the car for the last year or so doing much needed work on various items, and as the battery was disconnected, the radio no longer works. As she has moved since she bought it, she no longer knows where any code info is - its not in the handbook where I always keep them. The original MG garage has long since gone out of business. Am I correct that the radio will have to be removed and recoded? :y
TIA

Thank you, I googled that earlier, and these, http://themgclub.net/showthread.php?p=1402517, http://w.radio-code.co.uk/kenwood-krc-591-p757.html amongst 676 others. Hence my question, particularly as the first link suggests a CD 'may' be obtained to help, and also hoping that someone on here may have a canny fix at zero cost.

One of the MG Rover sites is probably best bet, as I think that unit was also fitted in MG ZR/ZS models (25 and 45)

Thanks TB, the cheapest fix I've found so far is £10.00 given the serial number. But son-in-law says he knows where the code is (In storage), so it can wait. :y

Saves you logging on to MGRover forum. Still, they could only answer how to fit bodykits and blue LEDs

I've found some useful info on there regarding the cooling system bleeding, stainless coolant pipes etc. :y
