Title: wrong radio code on car pass
Post by: onlygriffen on 31 December 2011, 00:41:14
after checking out other problems with the omega today, lost the code on the stereo, entered code form car pass and it seems to be wrong.

this is the bose system with ccr 2006 head unit.

i removed the unit from the dash and noticed some audio repair company has been there before me and left a repair sticker on the unit.

so after numerous attempts to contact the company it turns out the companys phone number is now not in use.

does anyone know if there are any companies out there that can reset the unit and give me a new code?

i am around the glasgow/ ayrshire area could anybody advise me on where to go to have this done?

i realise i may have to send the unit away, and was wondering if there are any other way of having this done without sending the unit away in the post

Not trying to be funny, but are you sure you're entering the correct code from the pass (there can be a couple) and inputting it in the prescribed manner?
Been there ........  :-X

eh? ive been working with vauxhalls for years mate and youd need to be pretty stupid to input the wrong code, the car pass clearly states what numbers are for what.  ::)

Thanks guys, I was only trying to help. Sometimes the simplest things can be the most problematic, but I guess not in this case.

Nope, CCR2006 can only be de-coded "on the bench"

Local GM dealer did mine for me £20 all in including postage, full clean and tidy up, took 24 hours and it was back, very happy
