Title: 2003 2,5 DTI what oil to use
Post by: Topuz on 05 January 2012, 02:21:08
I've read couple of threads and I've got an impression that people around here like GM 10W-40 semi-synthetic. I don't know if that applies to my engine as well since it's BMW-sourced Y25DT. Also, engine's done a fair bit of mileage, more than 140 000. My local Opel website claims that GM 10W-40 is mainly for 4-cylinder engines, should I go for GM 5W-40 Supreme Plus instead?

Thanks.

Use genuine GM 10W/40 semi synthetic.

That's what I use in mine, same engine as yours. No problems my friend.
