Sorry guys
I have hunted the forum for a suitable answer without much luck
I have just had the cam cover gasket replaced and......
There is a smell of fuel in the car when stationary and the engine running. On the move OK
To limit the smell I simply switch of the aircon/fan when stationary.
There is also a small amount of fuel left on the ground under the engine section.
I have check all pipes and connections as much as I understand and nothing shows as such.
Any guidance will be appreciated.
Lastly @ 90k I am thinking of a gearbox oil change: 2.6 V6
Any idea what I should pay before I take it to the local garage. (not main dealer)
Thanks in advance of your help

For the fuel smell check the fuel pipes under the drivers side of the plenum. ATF change I can do for you. :y

I'd follow the guide on here mate. I'll never pay stealers (if that's who you use) for any work on my car. and anything that's beyond me i'd take to daz or one of the other wizards ;)

Hi Jamatrad i had the same problem when i changed my cam gasket had the car checked over at my local garage but to know avail, then the source was found it turned out to be the Carburettor cleaner i had used to clean the inside of the cover and also from cleaning the breather pipes. I changed the pollen filter and it was fine hope this helps you. Steve
