Hi,
New to the forum and not a owner as of yet, i have been offered a 2001 Omega 2.2 cd with 69k on the clock with full service history and the cam belt was done just 4k miles ago, the body work is pretty mint tbh and they would like £1000 for it.
Now experts out there is that a good price and what else should i be looking for when looking at Omegas?
the wifes making me look at sensibler cars after the birth of our 2nd child a few weeks ago, my previous car was a volvo s80 t6 tuned to 323bhp, and the one beofre that was a r34 skyline (sadly missed).
Cheers
Mark

Hello & Welcome :y
the 2.2....
Some will say its a little underpowered....will certainly feel it from where you are coming from.
When its going, its fine, but when we had one, there was lots of foot to the floor to get it there.
also easier to work on than the V6. Due to so much full throttle, we actually found fuel economy to be no different to a 3.0 Auto! and worse than a 3.0 Manual!
Price, is probably fair, given condition and mileage, Omegas dont sell to well these days.

Yeah it was good fun :), auto boxes in he s80 are made out of chocolate that's what killed it, it would have cost more than the car was worth to get a new box for it :(
