Just checked my fuel receipts for last weeks work and I put in £145=00 fuel and that is doing my usual 100+ miles a day.I am also not a taxi driver.
Made a bit of a cock up at a BP station in Dover.didn,t have my glasses on and pulled up to pump that had derv and green noozle.Put my usual £40=00 (as cant bring myself to spend more than that in 1 go ..its mind games )and when I went in to pay and looked at receipt I had put in Super unleader and it was £116.9 a litre. That will teach me to wear my glasses when filling up.

The worst thing is that the price of a barrel of oil has just dropped by the largest single margin in a day since 1991 ($5).

But you won't see a change on forecourts for a few weeks yet, and even then the price of oil would have to stay at $104 for the retailers to be pressured into dropping pump prices.  :(

Don't you just the "time lag"...oil goes up and petrol follows immediately. Oil drops and it takes a fortnight for them to "empty thier reserves"...yeah, right!

£70 quid a week at the moment, just backwards and forwards to work, 360 miles. Everyone tells me I should get another car. I can't bring myself to do it.

I'm about to start a new job in Welwyn which, until I find a place to live in Hertford is going to mean a 180 mile round trip commute every day. So I'm going to be getting through three tanks of LPG per week  :'(
