scanner connected ok first time but second time only gives me two options engine and gearbox only, tested on ford ka worked fine,is thier something wrong with my car
-
wich scanner are you using
-
what scanner are you using, my not have all settings that are on omega. try on other vauxhalls and if works then its your connection.

Guessing, if it works on a Ka, that its a generic OBDII, so I wouldn't expect it to see more than engine and gearbox...

And if it is an OBDII, then it won't give transmission options on a Ka. Which might explain his confusion with the Omega.
The OP needs to choose the engine option, and follow instructions from there.

its a memoscan,as stated it did work on first connection had access to all functions, but now only gives me transmission or engine and when i select one of them it bleeps 5 times then shuts down, but works fine on the ka

A generic ODBII (only) scanner will only talk to the engine ECU, and if you are lucky, gearbox. Nought else ;)

Its entirely possible that when the scanner was first connected that it may have shown up lots of non selectable options before it realised that the Omega simply does not have the CAN signals that the scanner needs, and subsequent connections means that it has now "learnt" what car it is connected to and gives the appropriate menu.
Unlike the KA, the Omega is NOT a fully populated CAN-BUS signalled car, so I would not have expected to see anything other than enngine and gearbox, and suspect that if you had tried to access anything when the full menu was shown that the scanner software may have crashed or turned off as a result.

It should still be valid for Engine and *some* transmission codes.
Nobody makes a system that can read all systems for under about £400, and these are all GM specific.
