I joined this forum a couple of months ago when i bought a 1999 omega 2.0 auto.
The car idled all over the place with the engine constantly racing. When stopped at the lights the engine would rev up and down on it's own and tempt any chavs i came across to think i wanted a race when the lights changed.
I checked out the maintenance section and followed the excellent guide on how to clean the idle control valve and the breather pipes.
This is a relatively simple job and i can't believe the difference this has made to the running of the engine (the X20XEV). #
Well worth joining this forum just for the maintenance guides.
I would advise anybody new to this forum to complete this task, especially if your car is a bit rough or unstaedy when idling.
My next project is to fit an oil trap to the large breaher pipe at the front to try to keep the throttle and idle valve cleaner for longer
