just spent the morning up at A&E with my boy as he caught his thumb in the door of the car when the wind blew it closed.
Luckily not broken just badly bruised and all wrapped up

Poor lad... I've done similar in the past and it does smart a little

Should have bought a Ford mate. Their panel gaps are so big, it would have missed his thumb completely. ;D
Good that he didn't break it, and I hope he makes a speedy recovery! :y

Not nice hope he feels better soon.
Our littlen had her finger trapped in the gap between front and rear door..... Think it upset me more having to open the door than her ...... :'(

Did this before when I was in school, was in a rush and slammed the door of a Merc W124 on my thumb!
FML it hurt so much, was right on my thumb nail which instantly bruised a deep purple. Was the only time I've ever cried with pain, I was about 11 though.. :P
My dad tried all types of pain killers available to him including morphine iirc (he's a GP), didn't help. Solution was a paper clip and a jet lighter.
Straighten the paper clip, heat one end with jet lighter till red hot, then puncture the thumb nail to relieve the pressure. Blood poured out, but I instantly felt better for it.
Next 5 minutes were spent taking off the rest of the thumb nail with a scalpel on the kitchen table and applying a dressing.
-
OUCH!
worse still he could be put off omega's for life :'(
-
Poor little fella, :( I think the 'Poorly finger Fairy' should pay him a visit & leave him a couple of bob under his pillow! :y ;D

Poor bugger, it don't half bloody hurt, that :(
Hope he's feeling better soon

I know three guys who have had pain on with fingers, one jumped out of a truck cab caught his ring and ripped his finger off, second one got carried away with a chainsaw and managed to cut the top off three fingers on his left hand and the third lost two fingers in the fly wheel of a V8 Scania. Was there on all occasions not nice.
Hope the lad makes a quick recovery :y

If you'd done that to me when I were a nipper (or indeed now) I'd be slamming my fingers in anything. Doors, drawers, dropping anvils on my toes to see if I got anything... ;)
