Any one swapped an interior over ? I was thinking of buying this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/vauxhall-omega-seats-RECARO-RARE-MV6-CD-CDX-ELITE-/250973558883?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a6f309863 apart from the obvious unbolting of the old seats and re fitting the new what else would i need to do as it says no air bags ??? , would this upset the dash sensors and/or MOT fail . If there is too much elec issues or re routing of stuff ill pass on them :y

I was looking just for something a little less icy than my current non functional drivers heated seat and fancied the look of the replacement , missus dont know what all the fuss is about while shes got a toasty back side >:( I looked up how to replace the heat pad and it dont look very easy ..the fuse is ok so im guessing its the pad itself has failed :y

How about asking about after market heated pads? Dismantling of the seat is quite straight forward .................just watch your back lifting the bugger out of the car, they're heavy. You might be lucky enough to be able to cut the burnt bit of element out & resolder it. My fix has last 7 years ..................... so far! :-X

From what i remember the dismantle was complicated but ill have another look at the guide , could have been a quote i noted saying its not an easy job .... :y

Ive just read one post where TB quoted he thinks the heat pads are sewn into the leather so its a no no to replace , the guide is for cloth seats only ???

But that doesn't mean you couldn't put a heater pad in instead. :y Might take a little longer to get hot.
and my seats are leather too ............... ;) ;) ;)
Remove the seat, have a look, if it looks like you can fix what you've already got - fix it. If it doesn't work then you're no worse of than you are now .............. heated seats that don't! ;) ;)
