Title: sodding currys....
Post by: sir moanalot on 21 March 2008, 15:52:52
the list of electrical returns goes on.....
it seems i have a 30% success rate of getting a unit that works from these people, and how stubborn are they when i want a refund from a 10 month old faulty item!  the stereo i returned today had a tendency to go onto full volume for no reason.
needless to say after yet another debate about a refund cos i wanted no more items from there i decided to just walk out and leave the piece of crap on the counter !
sod them ill go elsewhere in future. >:(

you should have phone head office or tried trading standards, they won, you walked out, any way. seems they have lost a customer and got some bad press to boot, ;D, at least you can smile about that.

and you think our customer service is any better? i had to bring back a £3,500 order yesterday cause the store screwed it up and blamed me....three 32" tv`s to be wall mounted round the house and a U/S style f/f to be plumbed in i.e. i fit the copper piping round the kitchen to supply the water feed to it and fit a d/washer w/machine and t/dryer.....all on a standard delivery i.e. we del unpack and put into room of choice(no fitting) all in 30 mins of allocated time for delivery cust told the store to stuff it and they would go elsewhere thats my bonus for the month down the swanny.... >:(

I know someone who used to work for them. Customer returns just went straight back into stock for some other mug to buy. >:(

how much was the stereo?

if under £120 then its an instant replacement which then would give you a new one with new receipt at which point you can ask for refund as its new ;)

it was worth 75 quid and its the second i have taken back, the first had the power unit go on it and i did not want a third ! unfortunately i have a bit of a temper when dealing with imbeciles and preffered to leave.
ive had the last laugh cos my mate is gonna get a dishwasher and fridge freezer this weekend and is now going to comet and another mate is actually going into currys to wind them up and pretend to buy a large plasma from them and change his mind after mentioning me then showing his receipt from hughes electrical.......... (hes a wind up merchant) ;D
