The belt has been changed but thats beyond me  ::)
I should be able to do it I have seen a few done at Newent   :)
And as I hope to be there this year now I have an Omega again if some one wants to demonstrate I dont mind mine being used
The thing  I was thinking about doing is the breather on the plenum etc I will have to have a look and see what I need to do this

Breathers come under normal stuff in my mind ::) Yep, they need checking as a bare minimum :y

ATF change if auto?

Cam cover seals ok?
Checked the plug wells for oil and water residue? Hose pipe test on the scuttle, see Ifthat it leaks water onto the engine and plug wells/dis PAC.

Is the windscreen to scuttle seal firmly fixed to the screen.

Breathers as said.

Dif oil?

OK so getting some of the smaller jobs sorted for now
I have just picked up a spare breather from the scrappy question is ,is it in two bits bearing in mind its a 2.6 FL I remember doing the one on my 2.5 but dont think it had the short bit on the end I  dont want to go and break it by forcing it off
Also would anyone be able to give me the part numbers for the Orings x6 on the plenum ports and also the number for the orings etc for the breather seals hope this makes sense  ::)

Yeah, the 1998 onwards 3.0l and the 2.6 and 3.2 had the extended plenum, so longer breather.  Its in 2 parts - that main bit is identical to your old 2.5, its just the slightly curved extension bit to throttle body thats new :y

No need to replace the seals purely because or removal. Fully expect to dismantle and re fit without damage. Although theres no accounting for work prior to your ownership, they should be fine.

There are slight differences with long plenum, but procedure is essentially the same with less gubbins in the way.  :y

All cleaned out only took a couple of hours good job it was a quiet night at work  ;D
The seals were pretty brittle when I took them off and for what they will cost  I may as well replace them my plan is too fit new seals and fit this and then I can clean the one thats fitted to the car at my leisure
My car has done 78000miles and the one that supplied the doner part had done 73000miles
