Easyanswer to this sort of problem. Time lock.

Most Spanish banks have a time lock on the safe so that in the event of a robbery the robbers know that even with the right code the door isn't opening for (ten) minutes. Same thing could be done with prison vans. Before you say, what happens in an accident. Tough, should have thought about that when becoming a dangerous criminal. ;D ;D
