I had 500 quid aside to buy a van. its hard work im telling ya. all i could find was p plate escort vans or old vauxhall combos that were nails. Oh yes new bonnet and grill and a day minting it up i think it will look pretty reasonable (i hope) ;D

Funny you should say that as the door handle is broken on the rear door but can be opened.

Thats good to hear byron. This is a 51 plate so im hoping its going to serve me well at least till MOT time. What sort of MPG do you get on a run, lets say half laden?

Generally around 53 mpg and I have a 60+ mile daily commute Dan.
Sits happily at 70mph all day, though it's actually happiest at around the 80 mark! :y

Can't help with the door handle though - sorry! :'(

Well i got back no problem from doncaster, on £17 of diesel too as it was all the money i had left ;D. not bad for a 120 mile journey.

Van was what i expected. No worse but no better. Only bonuses were the tyres clutch and gearbox are good and he had all the invoices for the work done.

Started a few jobs when i got back. Fixed the rear door handle so it now opens and sanded off the bits of rust just coming through on the arches, Kurust treated, sanded again and primed ready for paint tomorrow. Levels all ok but due an oil and filter as it hasnt been done for 14k.

Just needs a very good valet which i will do monday.

Will get some pics up tomorrow :y

Well after 400 miles the clutch has started to slip. Drove back from Stoke today and by the time I got back could barely do 40 without it slipping. Thought cable may have been sticking but its fine. Going to limp it to Pete to have a new clutch and thrust barring fitted :'(
