Hi i am working my way through the problems with my omega got most sorted thanks to the site but this one has me stumped. When i got the car the drivers door did not work on remote only on key also all the other doors when locked would unlock again this would happen 6 times before they stayed locked and only after ignition had been on. Have now sorted drivers door turns out was disconnected the problem is still there when i just open and close door it locks fine but if i have had ignition on will take 6 goes to lock it. I have the car with spanner on on dashboard plus im not sure if deadlock is working. Can anyone help please. Thanks

I'd say it's a problem with the driver's door locking mechanism, which is why it'd been unplugged. You'll be able to pick one up from one of the breakers here. Not sure why relavence having had theignition on before hand has though.
The light with the spanner going throughthe roof of a car is the Engine Managemnet Light, and having a 2.2 you'll need a code reader to find out what's upsetting it. Good chance it'll be post cat/lambda :-\ :-\

Thanks for the quick reply Andy. Will have a look out for one and give that a go. Yeah thats what has me confused why it plays up if i have had the ignition on but works ok if i unlock the car open the door and then close it and lock it. It mentions in owners manual that the car and spanner could point to an imobiliser problem. Will phone around to see how much will cost to get codes read.
