Title: CID
Post by: pscocoa on 04 February 2012, 10:11:46
The top line of the CID display usually shows "Navi Inactive" (when not in sat nav mode) and a clock icon.

If the display is showing nothing at all on this line is this a Tech 2 issue or a display fault issue do we think?

Unit is now back in Germany for repair on pixels - not tried that - just wondered if it is something I should get them to check out or is it Tech 2 job. German guy speak no English at all so explanation in my average German is not brilliant.

Usual cause is CID is configured for Telematics, and Telematics is either missing, or not talking properly on the CAN.

This is odd as the display is the original one from car when new and worked until 2007 when it went faulty and I replaced it with one off ebay and only recently got it repaired. Do you mean that the repair could have affected something?

No - they put in the spare which works fine - the original is now back in Germany being fixed
