My car is pulling to the right under braking and pulling left when driving. :'( I had 4 wheel allignment done a couple of months ago and this did not stop the pulling to the left. I had the left lower arm replaced before the allignment was done after the allignment center advised me the bushes were gone on that side. They did the allignment and it still pulls to the left. I took it back and they then advised me that the right arm needed replacing as well as the track rod end on the right side. Just after a bit of advice really. Would it be advisable to change both arms and both track rod ends aswell as the anti roll bar bushes to try and sort this problem out? If so would it be best to replace them with lemforder parts? I dont plan on doing this until the end of april as i dont have the cash to do it at the moment and mot due in may. could somebody advise me where to get these parts from at the best price. Thanks Guys :y

Just my thoughts .....
All steering / suspension parts should be replaced as "pairs" IMHO .. so I would never just replace one wishbone, shock absorber, or spring as examples.
The random changing of parts is always expensive and often fails to fix the problem
I'm no expert on diagnosis, but I have changed wishbones and it is not difficult.
ChrisGixer lives in Oxford and knows more about steering / suspension than most, it might be worth asking him to take a look and give you a PROPER diagnosis of what needs changing.
If it is wishbones there are several threads .. but as a non-expert I fit Lemforders from all german parts ....
http://www.allgermanparts.co.uk/ourshop/prod_906178-Control-arm-lower-NS-Omega-B-Lemforder-27734-02-90-576-788.html
More than willing to help if you are short of tools etc, as I say .. not an expert but have learned a few things and changed a few bits .. :)

Defo bushes related. I've seen this car on my drive before. It had a Delphi wishbone on one side, with APALLINGLY soft bushes. I guess that's been replaced by a cheapo one, so still not a matching pair either way.
I'd start with a matching pair of Lemforders. If you wanted to add polly bushes too them before fitting that works well. Or get the use put of the original Lemforder bushes first and fit polly later that works too.
Track rods are not so critical to match as a pair, so I'd just change the iffy one. But if your feeling flush fire away and do both as the history isn't known I guess?
Roll bar bushes are not likely related to your issue, but will do no harm.
Delphi track rod ends are ok from any factor.
All German for Lemforder anything.
eBay for polly bushes, there a link on here somewhere.
But, given your set up guys seem to have lead you astray a little, I'd be having a bloody good check over for other faults first, before set up at wim.
As I recall the rear donuts are fubar as well. But check first.
And as said, always change suspension and steering parts in pairs. ALWAYS. :y

So i take it you have worked on my car before i owned it then. The rear donuts? Are they a pain or pretty easy. Will Deffo be replacing both front wishbones with lemforder ones. :y :y

no I haven't worked on it, just examined for faults. It's was handling very oddly. Brake, and the steering wheel would twist in your hands and the car would pull to one side. Much like loose wishbone bolts.
Rear bushes are simple in theory. Can range from awkward to a right bloody nuisance, depending how long they've been left. So expect a battle I guess?

As recent posts elsewhere, it might be worth concidering pre fitting polly to your lemforders. For maximum longevity.
Or get the use out of the original bushes first. Up to you. ;)

Your welcome to drop by for a check over again to be sure, if you like? :)

Obviously i would like to help aswell as i do love working on cars. :y

:y So would you be interested in doing that for me then chris? What sort of price would i be looking at to have them done? And how much for the parts themselves? :y
-
Some links in the guide (Febi) cheaper. Lemforder from all German parts also, more expensive.
plus a donation to the tool fund, is all I ask, once all is fitted and your happy. ;)
Trying to source some polly for the rear, without much success.

Ok Thanks, Just looked at website and found Rear axle mounting bush Lemforder brand 16063 01
Is this what i need? not to bad at 22.81 each :y
Will be in touch once i have them. Do you think it would be worth buying the wishbones aswell and doing them at the same time. Obviously a bigger donation to the tool fund aswell thats if you are ok to do it. Upto you. :y
Speak to you soon. :)

Danny,
If I am right, you are only 15 miles from me.
Now, whilst Chris is definitely your man for anything suspension related... (I don't undertake suspension work for others)
I have the kit to get the car raised up, and check for obvious faults / bush wear, and would be happy to have a quick look - even if just to assist Chris in knowing what parts he might need to fix it for you? :)
