Took a few pictures Sunday just gone, and I thought I's share them with you all...
Decided to crack on and strip the engine down on my 2.6 V6 breaker, despite the heavy snow fall and chilly temperatures (my neighbours think I'm nuts!!!)...

It makes removing head bolts a little more tricky when you have to dig out the ice first... :D

The accident damaged 2.2 is almost ready for it's final journey... :'(

My 3.2 Elite and SWMBO's Vectra C 2.2 dti SRi...

And finally, my faithful old Cavalier 1.7TD...

Yeah I did have a little play with the kit, and I'm actually quite looking forward to doing it for real now! You can see the locking kit black plastic box on top of my makeshift workbench. :y
-
Oh I had already spotted that. ;) ::) ;D
-
I like the badging on the back of the Cavalier...made me laugh ;D
You've certainly shown some dedication to the Omega cause working in that snow, at least it reminds me never to drop in and leave an Omega unattended...or you'll have it in bits.
-
Very keen indeed , although i find it a bit warmer working in snow ;D Stripping it down does give loads of tips on how things are fixed and fitted in the bay :y
-
I think your neighbours are right ;) ;) ;D ;D
When it comes to doing your cam belt, you know I'm always willing to give some moral support/help out :y :y
Do those steel wheels on the scrapper come back home with you afterwards? I might be after a set of steels in the future ::)
-
I can assure you that your and my neighbours have similiar toughts about us ;D :y
I like your table and tools by the way :y
-

The old Cav does draw a few smiles from fellow motorists! I get people taking photos of it with their phones when behind me at the lights! ;D

Agreed, it always feels milder after the snow has fallen, and I don't really feel the cold too much anyway. :)

Cheers Paul, I'll maybe organise a mini-cambelt meet and get a few of em done while we are at it! ;D
The steelies do come back with me yeah. I'll certainly bare you in mind if they become surplus to requirements. :y
Excellent!
How's the DTi Vectra going?
It's going really well thanks Andy. I've discovered it needs a few bushes sorting out, but it seems Vectra C's do suffer from this. It's also had a minor coming together with the gate post, thanks to SWMBO, but we're not allowed to talk about that! :-X ::)
Love the estate wheels :y
I was intending to keep my new wheels under wraps for the time being, but I guess the cat is out of the bag now... :-[
-
Since my new wheels have been spotted, I thought I'd put a bit better photo of them up... :y

I think they look superb Twigs. Very tasteful imo, which is unusual for non standard wheels. :y
Surprised your selling the standard wheels though.Thought you would have kept them for whenever you sell the car. :-\
-
Yep very nice :y

That would be my perfect sunday... but the missus would kill me stripping the engine on the driveway... Knowing my luck she'd want to go somewhere half way through stripping it.. lmao
Love the new wheels twiglet... what are they..???

They are 8" x 18" Irmscher Stila rims, and are still listed as being available on the Irmscher website. Make sure you're sitting down before you look at the price though!!! :o :o
