Put a litre of washer fluid in the washer bottle the other day for seeing the cold coming , never had any warning of low fluid but now i have the warning light on "after i topped it up" strange i thought it worked the other way ::) ::)

It does work the other way round. It sounds like the level sensor may have got stuck and you have free'd it off without realising.
You'll need more than 1 litre in there before the sensor registers anyway. The bottle on my mig holds 6.3 litres!! :o
