Hi
Failed the MOT on emissions today. The CO level is very high at 5.8% (limit is 0.5%).
Seems very high to me.
The tail silencer has a leak so that is not helping so i will change that first.
My plan is then new spark plugs and air filter (plugs over a year old, air filter not changed in 3 years).
I've heard an injector cleaner may help - any views on that?
Also I run LPG mostly and last year there was discussion about BLVs being wrong due to normally running LPG - Can these be reset by disconnecting the battery?
Finally an italian tune up before the retest.
Am i missing anything here?
Cheers

3 years on an air filter :o
Start with the basics. Full service, Italian tune up etc
Just out of interest, did you have the emissions tested running on LPG or petrol? The LPG emission test isn't as strict and if the vehicle is presented for test running on LPG then it should be tested on LPG. ;)

Was the car submitted for test running on petrol or lpg as its a different test procedure on Lpg
edit must type faster ;D ;D
