Anyone have any idea on the price of an HBV from VX Please
I appear to have a leaking one , should the valve actually be mounted to anything mine appears to be just floating about
Its a 2002 2.6 auto

About £30/£5 I think ......... :-\
Yes,it should be supported on a pressed steel bracket that locates into a slot on the HBV :y

About £35 iirc
It's usually mounted on a metal peg bolted to the crank case breather box iirc. Or something like. There's a plastic clip involved which always breaks. ...iirc. A cable tie ?

They're a part that if your dealer is part of a group of dealers then one of them will likely have one, so will be available the next day if not already in stock.

Knowing my luck it will need to be ordered then :D
Thanks for the help

Most dealers I've had to buy stuff from say "Oh, the Starship Enterprise"! Yes sir, we always hold a few in stock ;) ;)

LFF64's local dealer is only a same group (thus excellent service from them IMHO).
If you're desperate, I may have a 2nd hand one here. Or play silly beggers with hoses and plugs so the car runs until you get one...
-
Or play with the heater settings, it may stop leaking if it's on cold only for instance.
...or in this weather you may prefer to just let it leak ;D
-
Mine is "bodged" at the mo, will get round to fitting my new one when it warms up a bit.

This is where it should be (on a TD) but you can see the clip which should hold it.

Nobody said I broke it. Pedantic bugger! ;D

TB I agree they are really good in there and always helpful :y
They had one in aswell so that was good HBV+2l antifreeze came to £45 inc VAT
New valve fitted and sat on its mounting plate now :y I havbe also fitted the clean breather bridge (black plastic thingy)
And as i had the plenum ? off to do the HBV (so much easier with it off ) I changed the Orings just for my piece of mind
Also have giveb the car a good clean outside first chance I have had since I have had the car ;)
