Ok it's not a Ghia X but it's pretty! :P 8)

Looks good ................ the seller could've included a little more detail in the description! ::) ::) ::)
-
I love it a lot :y
-
Watched this about a week ago reached £5,400 did not hit the reserve. Had several of these a few years back not bad , Omegas are better.
-
Very nice, but I think the seller is a little ambitious on it's value...... :-\ :-\ :-\
-
Sought after now , looks nice but would never pay that much :y
-
they were shit then, they're shit now, why the hell would anyone want one? never mind pay good money for one?
(speaking as someone who made the choice for Carlton , twice, and then on to Senators back in the days when this Granny was current )
-
Granted its very nice and a car that has always eluded me. However if i was to go for one it would have to be either the 2.8 Injection Ltd Ed, or the 2.8i Ghia X.
-
The more I look at this the more I love it & I mean LOVE IT :y :y :y & if money wasn't a problem I'd have a bid up to around 5/6k.
-
jeeez, ever spent any time driving one??
wallowy, slow, thirsty, no feedback from steering, piss poor handling.
that's probably WHY i fell instantly in love with Carltons and Sennies.....
i had to use one as a company car for 6 months, doing a LOT of miles..... THEN they made me use a 2.3 granny estate , and in THAT i had the accident that broke my neck....
maybe that might colour my feelings, but, seriously, i already got my OWN carlton 2.2 CDX at the time,..,.. but had to use the company vehicles for work...
-
if i had spare money i would buy it.
this was my old one.2.8i ghia x going down the motaway water pump shaft snapped sending fan out through rad.the end

Did'nt realize it'd been listed earlier. I accept the Mk2 Grannies are'nt the most involving car to drive but that was back in the day. Despite previously owning two lovely Omegas as i've said before i'm not a Vauxhall man as some of you are. I love Migs of course but i've never been a one marque bloke.
This is more intended as a classic & lke it or not the old Fords fare much better market & following wise than the Vauxhalls, generally folk just love them longer..300+ classic Fords on ebay as oppose to 40 odd Vauxhalls.
That said i'm loving this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ONE-OWNER-VAUXHALL-VICTOR-FD-ONE-OWNER-/230734802504?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item35b8ddae48 as it's a base spec 1600 with column change which i love in a classic but 77,000 on the old slant engine is'nt low mileage & i would'nt give any more than £1500 for it.
The classic car market is a strange place. At the moment everything is going up in price, there is no glasses guide & any car is only worth what some one will pay for it. I'm waiting for the market to dip again, i won't pay silly money for anything.
Would'nt turn a pretty Royale coupe away though!!!! :y
