Title: Running machine
Post by: theolodian on 24 March 2008, 20:11:00
How much does a decent home treadmill cost?  One that the belt doesn't stop every time my foot hits it.

No, but weather is cr@p and no decent paths or large parks.  Suicidal to run or bike on the roads.  The US outside of the main cities is completely different.  Everywhere I've lived in the US and Europe other than the UK, and that is several places, had good running/biking/rollerblading/etc. places nearby - as long as it wasn't 40 degrees out.  ::)

Lol, I guess Leamington is a bit backward for that, we have great facilities for that in Nottingham......plus the english countryside is the best for biking once you are in it.

It's odd. Last time I went to the US it was suicide to walk anywhere outside let alone run, and everyone was jogging round the shopping mall centre.

I've got one of these.  Pricey but will last a lifetime.

Better than a treadmill for me as no impact on the knees.
