Title: Slight rattle through the steering wheel.
Post by: PhilCavSRi130 on 15 February 2012, 21:10:43
Hi Guys.

Ive noticed since i put the Omega back on the road i've got a slight rattle/wiggle through the steering wheel. I was looking at the online EPC and noticed that on the idler arm there should be a cap (item 13 on link below) I dont remeber there being one of these when i changed mine. Question is, would this leave me with the very slight rattle im experiencing? I'm guessing this acts as a spacer/shim so could be the cause.

Thanks in advance :)

Dont think so.

Easy to check if there is play in it (vertical play)

If there's no vertical play in the steering idler it should be fine.

Problem could be anything in the steering and suspension assembly's tbh. Time to jack and wiggle. ;)
