Title: thermostat part number

got engine stripped down,thermostat removed from housing but having problems getting hold of this on its own from a motorfactor,can any please supply a reference number or part number,need to get this fitted asap,thanks  ;)

That's the VX Part number for the V6...

Ah, Gotcha.

I wouldn't know that. For what they cost, it's really not worth messing with, trying to fit a new stat into an old housing...

due to csa making me live on such little money i have to do somethings on the cheap,just pisses me of that i only want the stat,housing is still perfect,will try gsf 2moro Steve,forgot about them  :y

If you are buying the thermostat make sure the housing is the same. I had to cut the 2 bolts to fit the new stat housing I bought recently. Oh! and don't forget to replace the 2 "O" rings.  :y

all done and sorted,new stat from unipart,rubber gasket,transfer pipe from vx dealer,im not in no hurry to do another 1 tho lol :y

id do it again,but no rush at the moment.just got to top up coolant before i go out later for a drive and see how it goes,il be over saturday mate will let you know what time sat morning  :y
