can't recall noticing before, but my steering wheel control back lights seem to stay on when the car is switched off and locked and deadlocked....
is this normal, or should they turn off????
-
IIRC they stay on for about 8-10 minutes
:)
-
cheers ... i went back some time later and they had indeed gone out...
pretty sure i used to know this....... but i just noticed it and drew a blank off the top of my head......
-
Ive driven around 15 Omegas since 2005, I only noticed it about a month ago and had to post up for the same reason Max.
:-[ ;)
-
cool, not just me going senile and becoming another Albs then :D
-
Just to contradict, mine go out instantly with ignition off. However, I do have an after market stereo fitted ;)
-
why do thay stay on is it because you can still run heating after engine off and turn radio up

There is a time delay relay that operates a whole load of stuff, radio, heating, rear aux socket, and other stuff as well I expect. Allows the "chauffeur" to switch the engine off bit the "posh folk" in the back still have their creature comforts ....... :)

Had a feeling NCDx stereos keep them on much longer, an hour maybe?
-
L have just tried this on my 02 cdx and they go out straight away stereo is a ccr600

Cheers mate
While i'm in there, I may consider cool white LED's. Not normally a fan of the white, but find the warm white/yellow tint a little boring.
Is there a guide to airbag removing?
-
Disconnect battery, wait for about 15 mins. Airbag is held on by two torx at rear of steering wheel. Just make out the two holes near audio controls in this pic
