hi all
question about my sons clit, took to a garage because revs were dropping even though foot had constant pressure on accelerator, garage said it was due to the brake pedal switch :-\ the way he explained it was that the brake switch sends a signal to the engine managment which then decreases the revs to aid stopping :-\ :-\ i myself have never heard of this and wondered whether it is indeed the case or the mechanic is talking out of his @rse :-\

It is possible that the brake switch would also talk to the ECU and reduce power, assuming it's drive by wire, although not sure I believe it :-\ :-\
Did the garage actually run diagnostics or just guess? Because it could also be an accelerator potentiometer fault ;)

My mum's Citroen does this. If you touch the brakes with your foot on the accelerator it cuts the power and puts the EML on. Great when you're trying to heel and toe in a diesel C3 ;D
