Im planning on taking my moped off SORN at the end of the month.I think that gives me a couple of weeks to play on it before the insurance runs out - then Im afraid its going to be bye bye bogger. :(

It will break my heart tbh,it will probably be the end of my biking days realistically,and Ive been riding since 1975.But needs must and all that. :'(

I'm thinking of doing a run out in Beemer soon, need to give it a blast after winter storage! Thinking of Wales or the Lakes. Warm up for a blast around Scotland in the summer!

Getting rid of CBR600 FX.Plan is to use the funds to buy something like a diesel corsa to get to and from work.Which will leave the Omega for occassional use. Even on lpg its still taking too much of my wages every month to fill it up.Unlikely in the foreseeable future that I will be able to afford to have a two wheeled toy unfortunately.

I was going to say, had it been the on-set of some form of disability etc, I could have given you some links, etc and to a site where by there is a charity organisation (NABD), which not only help with regards to disabled people wanting to get a bike licence, etc, they can also help advise on adaptations to help you if you want to keep riding your bike if you suddenly find you cant ride your bike because of a medical condition causing issues.
I can understand why the Corsa route, yes sad that even LPG isn't such an advantage as it was a few years back. Yet again the government/service providers screwing customers over for yet more profit :-\
Just asked in case I could have helped with advice on the bike front :y

Thanks for the thought. There is actually a degree of disabilty,which came about due to a bike accident a long time ago.It means I struggle to do long distance,but hasnt stopped me riding completely. Its being a casualty of the recession thats going to do that.

playtime for me used to be wood carving, marquetry but dont get the time anymore would love a little workshop again make some real furniture mind you love spending time with wifey so its not all bad :y :y
but tommorrow will be spent stripping out fittings and racking etc from van ready to say goodbye and then hellooooo to new one next week then i dare say a good weekend fitting that out :y
oh yes and designing the racking so its demountable to turn the van into a bedroom for those meets away :y

That doesn't "look" big enough for a two man glider?
It's only up to powering a small single seater at the moment, but can apparently be retro fitted to mine.
They have a bigger jet being tested on larger gliders but the temperature of the tail fin is presenting problems.
Oh, and the other problem is the €12K plus fitting, hence the letter to santa. ;D
