Title: Headlight Adjusters Replacement
Post by: estaszew on 26 February 2012, 03:51:17
I am waiting on the aluminum adjusters to arrive, but I am curious if there is a replacement for the other adjuster as mine are both broken.  Referencing the headlight adjusters replacement tutorial picture, it looks like the other adjuster is white plastic (in the USA it is the same black PBT as the main adjuster). I have tried to glue it and have visited the junkyards, but no luck.  Any ideas? Thanks!

oh i see, is it the clip part broken or the lug hole broken, as meaning clip that holds it to the black out case. if it is the clip you can use some plastic heat glue to hold it back in place worked on my old head hights until the refectors went. i think you can buy new ones but dont know the part number.

are you meaning the black outer case or the cog at the back of the light fitting ?  if you mean the cog at the back you will have to find out whether it is the cog on the screw or the cog on the light fitting, the screw does come out with some teasing and if you can find any at a scrapyard then you can replace them  :y if it is the cog on the light fitting then its another headlight  :(  but before you take the headlights out and throw them away try pushing down on the cogs at the rear of the fitting and turning screw this worked for me but be warned that the adjusters take alot of turning to adjust even the slightest amount  :y

It is not the clip that attaches to the reflector, but rather the piece with a screw hole that allows it to attach to the black case.  Looks like I'll have to continue my search to find a good unit to borrow from.  Thanks for the replies..
