Title: 2.2 TD 2002 water pump belt replacement
Post by: MattA1974 on 26 February 2012, 18:23:44
Hi,
I have managed to change my alternator but I'm now struggling with the belt. I have looked at a picture of the belt position. I have managed so far with working from the top.
The T wheel can move about 2cm (1inch) but there doesn't seem to be enough slack to fit the belt back on. Any ideas?

Thanks
Matt

hi matt i have just changed my belt on the exact same engine i remove the undertray to give me better acess to the tensioner .you have to loosen the tensioner  bolt with a torx socket then using a 19mm socket with a bar pushing it anticlock wise fitting the belt over the tensioner pulley last .ps only use belt part no 6pk 1902 iif you have a.c .i also change the tensioner as well as a precauion i bourt both parts from a vaxhall dealer as i didnt want to risk pattern made parts cost a little more but garented parts. hope this helps geoff cheers
