Had the same problem on my daughters car,we slave started it.Got it home it wouldn't start.

Checked battery drain 1.5 amps which was obviously draining the battery. Took it to motor factors for a heavy discharge test was ok. Seriously baffled, anyway stuck "My Naff Code Reader" on an discovered a fault recorded on infotainment system cleared it with "My Naff Code Reader" and not had the same problem since.

So may be worth getting someone to stick "My Naff Code Reader" on the car to see if anything other than engine ecu is showing faults.

Same car r reg 2.0l omega estate auto.

Don't forget to disconnect the battery first before you go messing with the airbag.  :y

Diconnect battery within 15 seconds of turning ignition off otherwise alarm will go off. With battery disconnected leave for at least one minute before attempting to remove the airbag.

Puller on ebay. Steering wheel off in a jiffy, airbag squib change is simple.Haynes gives a good description. Make sure you get the correct squib.

Wouldn't it be better to take your car to a motor factors first and ask them to do a heavy discharge test on the battery just to make sure it's not a wrecked battery.
