Thanks.
It's an auto.
I was thinking prop shaft or gearbox at the moment, rather than wheels or tyres related at the moment.
I think it is more when under load in a gear rather than speed related.

Car has done 95k.  The changes aren't thudding.

Thanks again

Car is ok up to about 70, but above this there is a thudding or vibration from what seems like the gearbox or just downstream.
What could this be?

Changes seem smooth enough.
No fault codes or warnings.

Thanks

No problem.

Patchway Vauxhall tel 0117 969 4331.

Yes, it's the part numbers stated above.   Each one is one item with the O rings and gaskets in place.
I bought sealant as well.

I got my pair of rocker covers, £103 a side.  Guess there's some different prices around.
Haven't got the repair done yet.
Thanks for the other options suggested.

Having trouble finding these.  Could you give the search terms for these?  Sounds good.
Thanks.

I suspect my price is wrong.  Maybe for the gasket only.
I did double-check this, but it's the usual story. Will need to see on Monday...
Thanks for the responses.

It was just a standard enquiry at Drive Vauxhall  (Patchway,  if that makes a difference).  I hope I get the right thing!

They do seem inexpensive from Vauxhall - got a quote of £205 for both sides.
They are cheaper used, and they perhaps don't need to be perfect, but they would be £120, so worth the extra as I'm not doing the job.

Haven't got my own code reader. Had to go to a specialist garage.

Did you manage to fix it?
Thanks

There are two pages:-
U0<80 - refer to official manual
U3118 - refer to official manual
P0743 - Torque converter clutch circuit electrical
U1080 - the DTC defined by manufacturer
U3118 - refer to official manual
P0747 - pressure control solenoid A stuck on
P0727 - Engine speed input circuit no signal
P1781 - the DTC defined by manufacturer.

Page two lists P0727 and P1781.

There are no related warnings in the car, nor the EML on.
I replaced the cam sensor some time ago (after these codes were read-off) in case this is relevant.  This improved the starting and occasional EML warnings, but made no difference to the gearbox.

My 2.2 auto has a gearbox shifting problem, which I have asked about on here before. Most noticably, it sometimes stays in first too long when accelerating. It may not be changing properly at other times.  Having said that it does work, and it seems not to be deteriorating.
Gearbox specialists have been little help - it could be slipping they say, but could this happen with the 2.2?
The fluid is said to be ok, and changing the fluid is expensive, and they don't recommend it (although they have on here).
I have got a sheet of gearbox fault codes - could an OOFer translate them?
Assuming that it did indicate a repair, where could I take it?
Thanks again.
