Omega General Help / creaking suspension
« on: 25 March 2012, 15:25:23 »
hi all,
I have a creaking noise from the f/n/s when turning the steering,it also creaks when i bounce the car wing. I think it is coming from the drop link but reading old posts they are more likely to make a knocking sound when worn.
Incidently i have found a pair on ebay for a tenner, are they that cheap because they are rubbish?

Any thoughts or advice most appreciated.

Martin

Hi mate,
The accessory fuse may have been removed to stop the rear shocker air pump running after fitting standard shocks.
If your car has one that is, if not, ? :y

Hi mate,
I did a cloth to leather swap on my 2001 elite and all the wires were there. Fingers crossed yours will be the same, have a look at the multi plug under the seat. :y

General Car Chat / Re: Decision made: Next job BRAKES!
« on: 23 March 2012, 18:21:02 »
I done my brakes a couple of weeks ago mate. The rear was problem free but i  had to drill out the disc retaining screws on the front.
Also the pad wear sensor broke when i tried to remove it.
All in all not to dificult a job, depends on how worn and corroded they are i think. :y

Omega General Help / bonnet release lever
« on: 09 March 2012, 18:06:45 »
,Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone has a picture of the bonnet release handle assembly fitted to the car. I think a piece of mine must be broken or missing because i just can'get the thing re-fitted to the car. The pictures show what i have and were i think it goes.
Thanks

Favourite car has to be a 1980 2.8i ghia granada......not the best to drive and a rust magnet at best but looked very nice by 1980s standards....traded it against a 3.5 rover sd1....bad bad move..live and learn.

Omega General Help / bonnet release lever
« on: 25 February 2012, 20:35:52 »
Hi,
Can anyone tell me the correct way to refit the bonnet release lever. As the pictures show the cable is attached to the plastic and i am guessing it connects on or in the metal slot shown. I was wondering if it may have a piece broken off as i cant get it to fit.
Any advice would be a big help.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / ccr 2006 faulty
« on: 11 February 2012, 20:13:06 »
Hi all,
The front panel on my ccr2006 has a couple of broken plastic clips which means it can be pushed on or off.when pushed all the way home it works fine except the drivers door speaker goes off.when i pull it out slightly the speaker works again but the illumination on the head unit goes off.i am guessing it is a faulty connector from the face panel to the head unit.my question is can this be repaired or do i need a new stereo.
Many thanks in advance for any advice. :)
