Opel Vectra A / Vauxhall Cavalier Mark 3 is the same car!
Opel Vectra B / Vauxhall Vectra  is the same car!
Opel Astra F / Vauxhall Astra Mark 3 is the same car!

Vectra A/Cavalier Mark 3, Astra F/Astra Mark 3 and Calibra share the same instrumenthousing.
It's not the same as Vectra B.

If the Rev.-counter is from the old C20NE instrument, I'm not shure it will work.
Are you shure that the only difference between the R4 and V6 rev.counter is the crystal?

Otherwice you should be able to fit a rev.-counter from a Cavalier III V6 or Calibra V6 as it's the same instrument housing.

From what I know, there should be four (4) wires.
Gray - Red - Blue - Green.

To have the best look ahead and to see what's in front of you, use Osram Night Breaker or Philips VisionPlus.
And if you are outside UK, you might take a look on Philips NightGuide DoubleLife. Almost as bright, but twice the lifetime.

A 55w bulp should be bright enough.
If you think you need 100W bulps, it might be time to check lamp lense and reflector. Or go visit your opticeian  ;)

A few of my friends has this tool/program Opel-Scanner http://www.techgsm.com/Opel_Scanner,7451.html and it works nicely.

 :y

No complaints about mine - it reads every ECU on the Omega and virtually all GM's since ALDL and provides some basic functionality tests as well as live data.
My friend came by today.  :)
So we changed the MID from German to English lang.
And Japanes settings for the fuelconsumption. km/l instead of l/100km.

One of my buddy's who also drives, tada a Omega  :). It was modified to use front foglights as Day Running Light.
He had a similar expirence like ours.
The modification included diodes in the wiring, that was placed a bit behind the fucebox.
I think the problem was that the diodes from the begining wasn't powerfull enough, so they used two or three less powerfull diodes.

ps. you can see my friend's Omega MV6 here

Omega General Help / Re: Front Brake Discs!
« on: 09 May 2010, 20:46:42 »
I fitted Brembo MAX (grooved) front discs on my Cavalier III / Vectra A. And they do works better than standard.
:'( But Brembo dos'nt make MAX discs for Omega, only OE discs.

Well, now i't time, and I'm also looking for new discs (and pads) for my Omega. So I hope it's ok to add an extra question to this thread.

Surfing the internet I found a few different discs.

ATE (OE)
Brembo (OE)
Diamond (grooved / drilled / both)
EBC (grooved / drilled / both)

And some special offers on e-bay like
Y.C.P-BRAKING (grooved / drilled / both)
MTEC (grooved / drilled / both)
MINTBITZ (grooved / drilled / both)

But who has tried what, and what do you think the quality has been?

PS. I hope my English is understandable. I think it might be better than your Danish  ;)

 :D Roger Whittaker CD  ;D

As surggested in your other threat. When problem show, try disconnect the headunit.
If that solves the problem, then there's one of the wires that needs to be removed from the ISO-connector.

I'm about to debadge my Opel Omega.
And as I'm from one of the Opel-badge countries, I should be able to get the different parts.
