Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: CCRT700 Mobile Phone puzzles...

I had the same problem and when i checked my aerial connections at the aerial end i found some one had disconnected the aerial cable going to the head unit and connected another fly lead to it for another after market phone.

Before i changed the cable over i had bugger all signal unless i was beside an aerial mast. Now i get full signal more or less all the time.

You just need to take the back trim off that covers the rear windscreen brake light and you can drop the roof lining just enough to see the connections.

 :)

The haynes manual is terrible for electrical diagrams unless you fancy cutting every wire in the car to find the actual one that you want. :)

Clifford have a nice little program that gives you the electrical connections that you need to make. Just need someone who has access to a current version.

Hi Mate

Cheers for getting the info. Why do you say that. I would of thought it would not be that bad as most of the functions are on the omega alarm so it should be a case of just linking to the omega own alarm.

I am interested in your comments though. I have installed some clifford alarms before and i know they are a pain in the back side to install but i do like them.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Omega Elite Alarm Wiring Diagram
« on: 02 September 2007, 00:11:15 »
does anyone have any more information like schematic diagram for the vehicle alarm system in an omega 2.5 elite. I basically want to install a clifford concept 600 with intelistart. I have the clifford alarm suggested wiring sheet but it is still abit vague.

Hi

Cheers for the different suggestions. I dont hink its an earth fault or the connector as the other day i noticed that when the speedo and rev counter decided to work that when i turned the ignition off the speedo was jumping. At the moment it is not working. Can some one tell me where the signal for the sppedo and rev counter comes from. I thought it came from the abs control unit first.

Does anyone have and electrical schematic of the system. I have access to the tis2006 manual but is to vague.

I was wondering if the ignition was not resetting something like a control unit. I have no engine management fault light or any other ones come on.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Speedo and Rev Counter Not Working
« on: 02 September 2007, 09:06:40 »
I seem to have an intermittant problem with my speedo and rev counter. Sometimes they work and sometimes they dont. The speedo seems to shake when it is not working. I have had a look through the tis 2006 manual and it is about as usefull as a chocolate teapot. Dont get me wrong it is usefull for some stuff must not this fault.

I have seen some people mention faults about the speedo but nothing about the rev counter. Is there two seperate sensors for these to displays. I would of thought so but i may be wrong.
