Omega General Help / Re: winter tyres
« on: 16 November 2010, 07:05:09 »
I'm over in Germany with the Forces at moment. German law basically says we have to have suitable tyres for weather (e.g snow...winter tyres). They make a hell of a difference in snow. Have you tried Ebay.de (German ebay) as they sometimes have wheels with winter tyres fitted? i got mine for 300 Euros (omega alloys with winter tyres only 1000 miles on them). Postage to England, probably in region of 40 to 50 Euros

Omega General Help / Oil in Spark Plug Recess
« on: 16 November 2010, 07:09:43 »
Just gone to change my plugs, on 2.5 V6, and when i removed the HT leasd (driver side of engine) i found that the recess was almost full of oil. I have had the car for about a year and have always had a very minor leak at the the back (driver side) of the camshaft cover, but thought nothing of it. I was wondering if this might somehow be making its way into the plugs, though i can't see how as the HT lead seals the hole when it is fitted. Any ideas would be welcome........the car is running fine apart from that, with only minor white smoke on start :-/

Omega General Help / Headlight Adjustment
« on: 22 July 2009, 12:17:34 »
I have recently moved to Germany and had to change my headlights for Left Hand drive ones (did this myself). When i had the Mot type test, the car failed for headlight beam too low. As the headlights are self adjusting i can't quite work out what the problem is (there are no fault codes showing up for headlights)??? :-? any help greatly appreciated, so as to avoid a trip to the Opel dealer.

Omega General Help / Re: Outside Air Temp
« on: 27 June 2009, 17:39:02 »
i have disconnetcted multi plug and found one of the 4 pins has corroded and ended up stuck in the female half of the plug. Does anyone know if i can just connect the cables directly to each other without having the plug in the line? I can't see that it does anything other than serve as a connector... :-/
