« on: 28 February 2007, 15:10:29 »
right i have sorted out the head unit(at last!) but now the multichanger wont work!!! the error code is no 2 ,so i keep reseting it and it looks like disc 12 isnt gonig back in properly to eject, although there are no discs in it(?) i have tried the must eject button located on the side of the unit but again to no avail,so i now have a changer unit which i cant get the magazine out of....any ideas??? short of bowling it down the high street.....

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / installing new head unit..
« on: 27 February 2007, 16:15:53 »
right having taken the original philips head unit out (pre facelift with 6 disc changer)im left with 3 block connectors,my new jvc connects on the two bottom blocks, which leaves the 3rd dangling about, now presumably no3 connector controls the  multi changer, and the speed sensitive volume??? i need to connect a new 12disc changer up to the new head unit so ipresumably need to thread the cable all through the car!! from the changer, unless i can somehow use the 'spare' block connector??
any ideas,or does anyone want to thread the cable for me?or give me an idea of were it can/will go..

honestly mate the hbv.is relatively easy, once the wipers, scuttle are off its not to bad, obviousley having the right tool for the clips!!! would help immensley,im not a mechanic in the slightest and even i did it in just under 2 hours..!!!
dont forget though, lots of swearing at it(particulary the clips) and ditto the box of plasters... ;)

Omega General Help / Re: Glovebox is broke

Quote from: TheBoy .

To get the glovebox door off though, I seem to recall that you have to remove entire glovebox...[/quote
yes the entire box has to come out, fairly simple to do,watch out for the screw next to the airbag though..
once its out it can be totally stripped down to replace broken bits
different story getting it back in though... bas%$£d of a job...

Omega General Help / Re: heater matrix/rad flush
« on: 26 April 2007, 05:18:21 »
i done a small flush out yesterday afternoon, there was a bit of brown silty type came out the two top hoses, but what worries me is whats down the bottom of the rad,is there another hose connected at the bottom that ican attach my garden hose to,to blast 'upwards' so to speak?? or do i just have to go in via the 2 top hoses and keep my thumb over one end, let  it go,thumb back over let it go etc, etc???
or  is it worth, bit of bleach(for example) 20 mile run then back home dissconnect the rad and take completely out of the car the car then flush???so i can tip it upside down???
is it an easy job to get it out, without too much hassle???
questions questions...
