thanks to all that help me it was the seletor switch on the gear box .i got one four £50 thats better than £300  :)

it dont jump out off gear its like its not in gear its got 17700 miles

Do the selector lights next to the gear lever corespond with the gear lever position?
yes but now and then there all cum on

hi all can sum 1 help i have just got a omega 2.2 auto on a 02 reg when you are driving it goes in to nutral you put it in to 3 and back in to drive and it is ok.or sum times it wont gear up or down or sport buton will not work you turn car off and start it back up and it will be ok :

it sounds like your rear bushers bmw have the same problem or the dampers get sum one to follow you and if there see your back wheels bonsing realy bad its your dampers

well wot can i say i got a 02 reg 2.2 omega two weeks a go but to day i got a 2.5 on a v reg four £400 one owner 79000 miles on the clock fsh but bad pont is no tax or mot but all will be sorted four week end :y
