after months of a knocking noise when driving down the rd or over speed bumps iv brought myself a pair of drop links.The old ones were a right pain in the backside to get off as the bolts where so tight.Now the new ones are on it was well worth the hour of hard work undoing the old bolts

Omega General Help / How many miles can you do on the red light

Hi all anyone know how many miles you can do when your red light on the fuel guage comes on.i dont know if its the same with all omegas or just mine but if i put in like £20 of fuel and do 15 miles the red light goes on then goes off again about a 1mile down the road later.can any tell if its ok etc

Hi all my rear wiper isnt working.iv just put in a new wiper motor and nothing also the water isnt coming out.i can hear the relay click when i put them on but nothing then a day or 2 after it starts wiping it has a mind of its own.anyone know what can be wrong

Hi all next week i`ll be getting new drop links as my old ones have had it.the wishbones on the car look okish but still does the job.if i but new wishbones,drop links and anti roll bar rubbers in do you think it will inprove the handling alot better.The handling at the mo is spot on but do you think doing all this will make it better

Hi all well as i live right next to the sea the salt from the sea is the death of most cars down my road.As the winter will start coming soon i thought i work treat the sills on the old miggy to stop them rusting out so i brought a big tin of undersill thick black tar sort of paint.Iv done both sills and archs can anyone tell me if there is anyother places the omegas suffer from

Omega General Help / car knocks when going over bumps

Hi all well my car has been knocking about 2 weeks after i got the car but as the exhaust was bogged up i thought it was just that.I looked under the car to sort it out as its starting to get really bad.I thought i found what it was making the noise two brackets hitting eachother so i just welded them together and looked proper job.When down the road and over a few speed bumps and still the same so i pulled over and had alittle look and pused the body up and down a few times on each cornor when i got to the f/n/s it was knocking and sounded like a footpump blowing air in to it so im just wondering if its the front shock that packed up couseing the nosie

Omega General Help / Orange light came on the dash board

Hi all on my way home this morning picking the gf up i was going down the motorway and a orange light came on on the dash board.I think its the engine manament light it stayed on a good 4 5 mins till it was safe to pull over.When i did i opened the bonnet and all look as it should be can anyone no wot this can be.I did have all the breather pipes off about 2 weeks back can it have something to do with that

Hi all in the next day or too im want to strip off my breather pipes to clean all the old oil and grease etc out.Whats the best way to clean them. is there anythink i can buy to soak them in etc

Hi all the other day i took the battery out to be tested.When i put the battey back in the temp wasnt there.the time and date is there but the temp guage is just like this _ _:_ _ iv tryed using the radio to reset it on radio 2 like i was told but still nothing.Can anyone help me

Hi all as iv been sorting my old mans can of for its mot he has been using mine.i got it back yesterday and now when i start it it seems slugish starting as if the battery aint got much juice.I havent really looked it yet but i looked at the battery and the battery seems fine.Can anyone think of wot else it can be i.e ht leads breaking down etc
