General Discussion Area / Camcorder advice
« on: 28 July 2007, 10:35:49 »
Please feel free to add your choices - I'm looking for a sub £200 camcorder suitable for taking better images of my family than my chepo DV Cam.

NEXT have one on offer at £175 for a Panasonic NGS37EB - was £375 in Mini DV format.  So that's the starter for 10, it has 30x zoom, pure colour engine, editing software and colour night view but that's about it.

Recommendations please............ [smiley=dankk2.gif]

General Discussion Area / Peugeot noise
« on: 03 August 2007, 18:48:57 »
My mate has a Pug 407 2002 with 206k and a horrid noise that can be heard with the bonnet down!

It's coming from pretty much the area above the drivers front wing and sounds like a water pump top me.

Q.  Is is driven by the cam belt and wots the worst it will do if it fails - daily motorway miles.

I have a sound clip on my phone but its "amr" and not supported by Photobucket.

« on: 01 August 2007, 20:05:49 »
I have friend that's just bought an X regf Vectra SRI but it only has 1 key :(

It seems cheaper to buy this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-VECTRA-OMEGA-ECOTEC-ECU-2-KEYS_W0QQitemZ280139474276QQihZ018QQcategoryZ10404QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem than get an new key, blade, and recode via Tech2.

I can have the Tech2 done for a tenner and a new Vx key is £30 btw.

I looked out of my window tonight and caught this guy in my car!

He shouted something in a Yorkshire accent about loving silver Omega's and quickly vanished.

Anyone seen him before?

Ps. He smells of lemons  ;D

General Discussion Area / BTCC Quiz with a prize
« on: 08 July 2007, 22:20:28 »
Kevin posted this link a few days ago and it's been driving me mad (no pun intended) trying to find the answers.  You can view the quiz and quit before sending and re do it when you are sure....

http://www.vauxhall.co.uk/vx/microsite/rdoty07/index.html

I have the answers to Q1 - 6 but:

Q7 - 20 or 30 mph for a J Turn? Wikepedia says 15-30 mph is ideal >:(
Q8 - Most BTCC points - Yvan Muller, James Thompson or John Cleland - I think Tommo. :-/
Q9 - F1 guest star in BTCC - Lewis, Coulthard or Button - LH?
Q10 - Pic or which circuit - Brans?

Google if you need to and I hope your search is better than mine :y

General Discussion Area / Bloody Halfords
« on: 06 June 2007, 23:15:03 »
Went tonight to buy the 150 piece socket set after sending off for some Halfords vouchers from work to pay for it.

I was in last week and priced it up £100 or £95 Trade Club.

Went to pay today and it's £150 :o  £120 TC

Price changed 4th June  >:(

So i'll have to wait 6m for it to be reduced again and keep the vouchers until then.  :'(
